What The Board is — and isn’t
The Board publishes model estimates. Even a well-calibrated model loses often, and most bettors lose money over time because sportsbooks build a margin into every price. Nothing here is a sure thing, and our own track record is published on the Performance page — including where the market beat the model.
Keep it fun
- Only bet money you can afford to lose. Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
- Never chase losses or bet to win back money.
- Don’t bet when upset, under the influence, or to escape problems.
- Use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools every licensed sportsbook offers.
- Betting should never get in the way of work, school, family or friends.
Warning signs
Betting more than you planned, hiding it from people close to you, borrowing to bet, or feeling anxious when not betting are signs to step back and talk to someone. Help is free and confidential.
